Description
A Recent introduction to the UK, this Brazillian 'tree' fern does eventually form short stem as it matures. It's gorgeous glossy newly emerging bright red fronds make this a really beautiful plant. These fronds are a good size, and they form a distinctive shuttlecock shape forming an architectural plant The mature fronds turn beautiful and bronzey, before finally settling on a rich green colour as the season progresses.
A really lovely addition to any fern garden or shady bed

- Hardiness: Hardy once established
- It may require some winter protection for the first few years.
- Incorporate lots of well-rotted leaf mould or garden compost into the planting holeand as a mulch around the plant
- Keep well watered during the growing season if very dry
