Brunnera macrophylla 'Jack Frost' is a stunning ground cover perannial with large, heart-shaped leaves appear in spring with the most beautiful silver dusting on them. These are closely followed by sprays of tiny, bright-blue flowers. For the best variegation, a sheltered site is essential. Brunnera macrophylla 'Jack Frost' prefers moist, shady sites, but can tolerate dry soil once established. Perfect for underplanting, or for using in a woodland planting scheme. Combines well with Heucheras , Tiarellas ,Pulmonarias Hostas and Ferns.
Brunneras need to be grown away from direct sunlight - the dappled shade under deciduous trees and shrubs is ideal. Although they prefer moist soil, once established they can tolerate periods of drought.
